Quartz overlay is an artificial, thin layer of crushed quartz held together with resin (much like standard quartz, just more delicate). Some companies will offer services where they place this thin quartz overlay over your existing countertops
without removing the older countertops. While this can make sense for some jobs, we do not recommend this to our customers. In most cases, high-quality granite and quartz countertops of average thickness are the exact cost to have
installed in your kitchen or bath. That’s right; often, a quartz or granite overlay isn’t any cheaper than just getting the good stuff! At the very least, you should contact us for a free quote to compare your options before going with a quartz overlay.
